Project! Necklace Holder

I'm so excited to start my first blog. Tonight I've been working on a project inspired by Courtney Martin. She took a wood picture and covered it with little hooks to make a rack for her necklaces. I found this wood saying board at Target and grabbed some cup hooks while I was there. When I got home and tried screwing them in by hand, it didn't work so well.
So I walk down the back porch to my neighbors Mindy and Big Jon to get Big Jon's help with the power drill! I think it took a little patience on his part, and Mindy was still cooking dinner so he wasn't too distracted while we drilled and got the holes for the hooks ready to go!
I finished twisting the hooks into place while watching House Bunny (Kels, have you seen it? The house is adorable!) and got the necklace hanger ready to rumble! Check out the before and after pictures of the words on the floor and their transformation into a GLORIOUS necklace rack. I also hung up a cute Christmas ornament and a little hanging Emily gave me near by. What do you think?
Hopefully I'll have some more glamorous adventures to document soon but I was pretty proud of my crafty streak tonight.
