My First Film Festival...

...While I'm waiting for a meeting I thought was supposed to start at about an hour and a half earlier than it actually did...

I've been relaxing a little bit this week, maybe more than I should with the semester winding down, but last night my friend Dave took me to my first film festival. I'd never even heard of the Nashville Film Festival, but this was the 40th Anniversary of the event. We saw Big River Man, a documentary about a giant Slovenian man who swims the longest rivers in the world (drinking along the way). The film was about his journey down the Amazon with beautiful shots of the rainforest and remote tribes there. Pretty neat... until the main character sort of went crazy... I guess swimming for two or three months straight would do that to a person.

I've been wanting to go to the movies for a couple months, but sadly a certain roommate and I haven't been able to meet up for the Hannah Montana Movie and I can't convince anyone else to go. Getting to relax with a movie was a treat. And I feel like Tegan would be proud of my first film festival experience :)
